Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is responsible for building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our motor repair and maintenance services to industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical sales or industrial services and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Outreach
    • Identify and engage new leads through field visits, cold calling, networking, and industry events.
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with industrial and commercial customers.
    • Understand client needs and offer tailored service solutions.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals
    • Conduct on-site visits and deliver compelling presentations.
    • Prepare quotes and proposals in coordination with the technical team.
  • Account Management
    • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
    • Provide excellent follow-up service and act as a liaison between customers and the shop.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies.
    • Provide feedback to management for continuous improvement.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Keep detailed records of interactions and opportunities in the CRM system.
    • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED; a degree in business, marketing, or a technical field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in industrial services, manufacturing, or electrical/mechanical fields.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to learn motor systems and service offerings.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites regularly.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Experience selling in the electric motor repair, HVAC, pump, or industrial equipment space.
  • Existing client relationships in the Jacksonville area or Southeastern U.S.
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish).

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based with travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Occasional office visits for team meetings, reporting, and coordination.
  • Home office setup or use of company-provided mobile tools.
